The Salado Silver Spur Support Service and Cinema Society

The Salado Silver Spur Support Service and Cinema Society is a nonprofit association organized on June 1, 2007 in Salado, Texas for the purpose of supporting through volunteer work and fund raising efforts the dramatic and cinematic arts presented at the Salado Silver Spur Theatre, 108 Royal Street, Salado, Texas. The Salado Silver Spur Support Service and Cinema Society is formed in accordance with the Texas Uniform Unincorporated Nonprofit Association Act (Vernon’s Texas Civil Statutes, article 1396-70.01 et seq) under authority of chapter 252 of the Texas Business Organizations Code (BOC).  All activities of the association will be for the expressed purpose of film preservation, promotion and continuing education of our members. Membership is open to all members of the community who have an interest in supporting the display of live theatrical and filmed performances.

The Board of Directors shall be comprised of at least three members who will serve terms of at least twelve (12) months each. Membership on the Board is voluntary and the Board my increase it’s size by majority vote of those present at an announced meeting.  The Board of Directors shall select by majority vote an individual to serve as the President and Registered Agent of the association.
